Guided climbing formwork
Ascent Formwork is the new guided climbing formwork system
from RMD Australia. We have developed Ascent with our
customers to provide a cutting edge guided climbing
formwork system which speeds cycle time and reduces
labour costs.
Ascent is fully adaptable to fit all formwork systems,
and is suitable for inclined, stepped, circular or straight
surfaces, and has all necessary safety features completely
integrated.
Ascent’s hydraulically operated option, enables
movement of the system without the need for a crane.
This is especially useful in high wind conditions when
crane handling would be impossible, or in situations
where the crane hook time is at a premium, allowing continuation
of work resulting in significantly improved programme
times.
Ascent mounts on the first wall lift and the mast can
be simply extended as the equipment rises giving significant
time, labour, and site space advantages.
On the first project using Ascent our customer MFR were
of the opinion that this feature alone had the potential
to save the time required for a whole forming lift.

Ascent components
are designed to be easily man handled and are therefore
lighter in weight. Use of ultra
high grade steel in the mast enables assembly without
a
crane. Wall brackets are light and small enough
for workers
to carry one in each hand providing labour, equipment
and time savings, thus enabling single person working.
The masts are manufactured from ultra
high yield steel plate giving unparalleled strength to
weight
ratio to
ease both manual and crane handling.
The unique spring loaded Ascent Latch ensures secure
engagement with the wall bracket and can be locked
in the retracted position to enable the Ascent
platforms to be lowered if required, thus reducing
the required
height of a crane.
The Ascent Latch is painted bright orange and
thereby is highly visible so that engagement
can be readily
verified giving the operator peace of mind
and providing ultimate climbing safety.
Ascent components
mate with Super Slim Soldier products allowing for the
option to produce
heavily customised configurations using standard
equipment
enabling
customer needs to be closely matched.
Ascent uses recoverable Anchor screws
to eliminate the cost of lost items.
