| Special
formwork shutters were used in the expansion work of the
Woodman Point Wastewater Treatment Plant (WA2).
One of the project's challenges was the design and installation
of the systems needed for the construction of two 18m
diameter x 17m deep pump station inlet tanks. These had
a base level that was to be approximately 9.5m below the
level of the local water table.
RMD designed a set of 4m high crane-handled formwork shutters.
These enabled the perimeter walls to be constructed in
a series of four pours, always keeping ahead of the changing
water height as the structures sank. |
