| The
$275 million Stirling-Harvey Redevelopment Scheme is an
integrated water supply system. The construction of the
Harvey dam is a major component of the scheme. The new
dam will have a storage capacity of 60 gigalitres. It
will supply 40 gigalitres of water a year for local agricultural
irrigation.
Specialised Megashor connection nodes were engineered
and fabricated to enable the construction of a heavy lift
frame as seen in the picture above. The high load capabilities
of the Megashor system enabled the construction of the
heavy lift frame which otherwise could only effectively
been achieved by using an extremely expensive purpose-built
structural steel arrangement. |
