| The Albany
wind farm consists of twelve 1800kW wind turbines connected
to the Albany electrical supply system. The turbines have
a 65m tower and a 35m blade.
RMD provided formwork systems for the construction of
the foundations. Rapid Ply panels were supplied to form
12m octagonal bases. Above this a 6m diameter form was
provided comprising Super Slim Soldiers, Radiused RHS
and 12mm ply. This arrangement allowed for continuous
concrete pours for both sections.
Powercorp was particularly happy with the ease and efficiency
of the systems provided and also found that the overall
support offered with regard to design drawings and technical
advice greatly assisted them in achieving project targets. |
