RMD Shoring Overview

Designed with speed of erection in mind, RMD's Shoring products provide a reduction in manpower on site and a reduction in overall project timescales. There is a proven correlation between the number of man-hours on site and the costs associated with safety incidents: any reduction in man-hours provides clients with clear commercial advantages.

1. Rapidshor — high-duty, adaptable shoring

Rapidshor is a cost effective, modular steel shoring system developed with an extensive range of accessories, its robust galvanised design and ease of assembly has made Rapidshor an ideal solution for most applications, such as bridge decks, commercial and retail buildings and loading platforms.

Cost savings are obtained from a reduction in the two main cost elements of a shoring system – material and labour. This is realised by the reduced weight of equipment and fewer number of components.

2. Alshor Plus — latest generation shoring

Alshor Plus is fabricated from Aluminium and therefore it is light in weight and thereby is much easier to assemble and disassemble than traditional shoring systems.

One of its superior design features is its unique blade and socket connection system, which enables Ledger Frames and other Alshor Plus accessories to be located onto Alshor Plus legs much quicker than other shoring systems.

The increased leg load capacity of Alshor Plus (120kN) reduces the need for additional support equipment for most loading conditions. Since this equipment isn’t required, erection and strike times are dramatically improved in comparison to other systems. The high leg load capacity also provides an increased propping range. The quick release mechanism on  the jack releases the load with a single hammer blow.

3. Megashor — ultra heavy-duty shoring

Megashor is an ultra high duty modular shoring system designed for axial loads of up to 1,000kN. It has a full range of accessories enabling it to be assembled into props, towers and trusses of almost any length, all from standard components.

Megashor's real strength lies in its versatility: it will accommodate the rigours of heavy duty falsework, heavy lifting towers, travellers for tunnel formwork, bracing for excavations, bridge bearing replacement and façade retention. Megashor was designed with effective heavy load support in mind.

4. Strongshor — heavy-duty shoring

Strongshor is comprised of four main components: frames, spigots, cross braces, head and base jacks. Fewer components result in savings in time, labour, storage, transport and inventory costs.

The new lighter weight Strongshor frames enable site workers to more easily place components, which means greater on-site productivity, less labour and lower construction costs.

5. Slimshor — vertical, horizontal and raking shoring

Slimshor is  a heavy-duty support for vertical, horizontal and raking applications for use on a variety of civil engineering and building work. Ideally suitable for supporting both large walls and precast units.

The Slimshor components connect directly to Super Slim Soldiers. The addition of standard adjustable jack units at the ends of the Super Slim Soldiers with suitable end connections convert the conventional Super Slims into effective push-pull props.
