Webtie

Webtie is a 30kN capacity, soffit formwork suspension system for use primarily between steel girders in composite bridge deck construction.

Webtie Saddles are used on the internal bridge beams and consist of a longer loop of polyester webbing. Saddles lie across the top flanges of girders and carry Super Slim Soldiers on either side.

Webtie Delta are generally used on bridge edge beams and consist of a short loop of polyester webbing sewn around a triangular steel delta link, the delta link fits over a 19 or 22mm diameter shear connector. RMD recommend that the weld between the shear connector and the bridge girder be tested by bending the stud away from the edge of the bridge girder flange, prior to use.
