| The Airport Link is a tunneled motorway grade road, which is under construction in the northern suburbs of Brisbane. It will connect the Brisbane central business district and the Clem Jones Tunnel to the East-West Arterial Road which leads to the Brisbane Airport. It is being built in conjunction with the Windsor to Kedron section of the Northern Busway in approximately the same corridor.
The project has 8 different cost centres spread over the north side of Brisbane who all run their accounts separately and each of these cost centres are split into different areas such as civil, roads, mined tunnels and TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) Tunnels and each of these sections have dozens of Project Engineers and Site Engineers, Site Managers, Material Procurement Officers and Site Foremen.
To ensure that all of these construction personnel were aware that RMD Australia could supply their formwork and other construction needs, hundreds of RMD product brochures, Site Handbooks and Information CD's were supplied to all of their various offices.
RMD's client on this project is the Thiess John Holland Joint venture to whom RMD Australia have hired the Minima panel system for the flood walls, Super Slim Soldiers to use in conventional formwork for walls, etc. and Super Slim Soldiers and Alform Beam for bridge piers.
