| Formwork
for the 20-storey National Provident Building constructed
in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea by Japanese contractor
Kumagai Gumi, was supplied by RMD Australia.
RMD provided a solution involving its Jump-Form System,
Super Slim Soldier System and Alform beams to construct
the formwork for single-face basement walls, central core
walls and columns. The unobstructed open-floor building
features a large central service core and sixteen perimeter
columns. Main beams were cast in situ to support precast
secondary beams and insitu cast floors.
A car park, extending four levels below ground level,
is lined with waterproof concrete perimeter walls. |
