| In
their design brief for the Twin Bridges project Fulton Hogan
had a number of challenges to overcome. They needed a falsework
system to support not only the soffit of the bridge but also
the formwork which is needed to cast the wings.
They also required a captive deck system as
part of their shoring requirements. The RMD Rapidshor shoring
system provided this requirement with its new, safe, captive
deck system, it worked very successfully on the Twin Bridges
project.
Other products used on this project were the
Alshor Plus, latest generation shoring system, Rapidstage for
access and Super Slim Soldiers – the definitive primary
beam.
With the help of RMD’s state of
the art products and the support of the RMD design team the
challenges were overcome. A new design system was used which
provided the client with drawings showing views of each row
of legs from both angles. This helped in the product erection
and for checking, as well as eliminating any mistakes due to
incorrect reading of the drawings.
